In Wattisham, England, a family of eight becomes dreadfully ill with a disease that young physician Charlton Wollaston cannot diagnose. With the help of one Reverend Bones, the physician hopes to find the cause of the illness before all eight perish. But with the father, John Downing, becoming increasingly paranoid that they are the victims of witchcraft, the Downings may not be the only ones in danger.
