The
Mania Podcast
“These are the stories of monsters whose voices are lost in history.”
What is Mania?
Sadomasochistic queens, Victorian rippers, grave robbers, and street thieves. From medieval scaffolds to 19th century criminal underworlds, Mania is an ongoing, monthly celebration of the macabre. But it does more than just tell dark stories.
♢
Written based off historical accounts and varied sources, each episode gives a full, ‘finished’ feeling to stories like H. H. Holmes’, Jack the Ripper, or even popular figures in folklore. Whereas history often leaves us wondering, Mania gives an intimate perspective of its subjects, finishes their story, and is honest about what was fictionalised, merely exaggerated, or told with the outright truth.

Aptly named “The Bloody Benders,” this family put a whole new spin on the concept of ‘bonding time.’ The strange methods and mannerisms of the Benders seems to be spun straight from a Stephen King novel. Unfortunately, there’s nothing fictitious about this murderous family.
