6: Sickness & Health

Here a rusted clock did ring
A hollow sound in hallowed space
And long off did feet so shake
A skeletal scrape to mark its pace

Here I pray, a watch to wait
Thoughts remiss of past and fate
Should I find my one tonight
I'll rid her bones of ghoulish blight

As I have, I've done before
Seen her pass in morbid gore
Yet still my hand did hold the torch
Frozen like her own black core

Hear, a gilded clock now rings
A hollow sound in hallowed space
And risen feet to shuffle and scrape
A forsaken cadence stripped of pace

As I have, now and before
I watch her pass along, forlorn
Yet still my hand does hold the torch
Unmoving like my heart's remorse
